Comic bikes

IMG_4616IMG_4612IMG_4614IMG_4611IMG_4607IMG_4606French and belgian comic book industry has always been able to create, produce and sell quality products. Among the several subgenres, an interesting one is born these last years: stories dedicated to classic cars and bikes, often matched to crime stories, charming locations and good-looking girls. Michel Vaillant, created by french author Jean Graton in 1957, was sure the most famous and a well appreciated icon but it’s nice to see new blood in this vein.

The one pictured above is “Rider on the Storm”, by Géro and Baudoin Deville, printed in Belgium by Paquet Edition in 2012. The story takes place in Bruxelles in 1974. Deep Purple concerts, racetrack frenzy and a nice Kawasaki 750 H2 in the leading role: what more could you ask for?
