Back in the saddle today, after my crash riding the BMW last Thursday. Ankle and chest still aching a bit but that allowed me anyway a ride downtown. It’s National Celebration today in Italy, Avril 25th, we celebrate the freedom from NaziFascism after WW2. I really respect this anniversary and it has a deep, great value for me. I honoured it with a slow ride in the city. Springtime is blossoming in Milano. The view of so many charming light-dressed women warmed my hearth and softened the pain in my chest. Saturday I’m due to enter the @deusportal Swank Rally Legends event with the Sterling. My phisical conditions make me doubt about entering it or not. Damn. The old faithful boxer was apparently with no damage, after the fall. But today I switched the bike on and it let fuel on the floor from somewhere in the engine. It will need to see my mechanic. FASHIONABLE. Aren’t you already fed up with this “bike is fashionable” trend? Don’t you regret the good old days, when riding a dirty, oily bike was a suspicious behaviour? When entering a downtown bar covered in filth and smelling gasoline was considered a crime? Now it seems that every young hipster or wealthy middleaged guy likes to be seen riding a bike and proudly lays his helmet on the counter while ordering the drinks. This trend was noticed even by advertising agencies and so slowly but steadily arrived to larger audiences, way beyond the bikers community. Our advice is to enjoy the whole thing, being able to stand off and look at it with some coolness and irony. Paying attention not to look too often at your image reflected in the shop windows, because it could be dangerous: remember your accurately crafted special does not have ABS brakes. That said: we have to be be patient. Trends come and go. So don’t worry. Sooner or later we’ll be considered again as no-brain, egoist, polluting jerks. #fashionable #trendy #hipster #urban #motorbikes

I crashed this morning. Cobblestones and tramway rails are terribly famous here in Milano. Thought I was immune to their spell. Well, not. This morning I was quietly commuting with my Bmw and ( in Foro Bonaparte, locals know well...) while I crossed a tram railway, suddendly the bike slipped and I was with my ass on the ground. Luckily no other was involved. Bike was totally unscathed. Me too, apparently. I hopped back on the bike and off I went. Now, a few hours after, my left ankle and, strangely, my left chest muscle, are aching. But apparently nothing serious. I’ve been lucky. #lucky #crash #cobblestones #rails

It’s NBA play-off time. Young aficionados swear that LeBron is the greatest alltime player, that he changed the game etc. Most of basketball experts still give that award to the great Michael ( and, objectively it’s difficult to claim they are wrong). Some bet on older eras players, as Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russel. And how to forget Kareem?
